Dillon Legal Group P.C. is located near the Johnson County Courthouse in the heart of Franklin, Indiana. In addition to serving the city of Franklin and Johnson county, we serve nearby cities such as Greenwood, Edinburgh, Trafalgar, Bargersville, Martinsville, Mooresville, Bloomington, Nashville, and Shelbyville.
Ryan P. Dillon is a lifelong Hoosier and a resident of Johnson County since 2006. He grew up in rural Shelby County, where his family is actively involved in the agricultural community. He and his family currently reside in northern Johnson County, where they are regular attenders of Emmanuel Church of Greenwood.
From an early age, Ryan has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America, earning the Eagle Scout Award in 2001. Ryan has been involved with the organization for twenty-five years, and currently serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster and a council volunteer. He has previously served as President of the Firecrafter Alumni Association.
Prior to attending law school, Ryan was a graduate of the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations, where he was also involved in student government and the music department. Upon graduation, Ryan explored a variety of different legal environments while attending law school at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Ryan passed the Indiana bar exam in 2008 and opened his practice after being sworn in. He is currently admitted to practice before all Indiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Ryan is also a Registered Civil and Domestic Relations Mediator with the State of Indiana. His practice was incorporated in June 2010.
In addition to his active participation in the Boys Scouts, Ryan is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the Johnson County Bar Association (President in 2016), the Morgan County Bar Association, the National Eagle Scout Association, the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, and the Freemasons. In 2016 he joined the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin. Ryan also leads two Girl Scouts troupes.
Ryan focuses his practice in the areas of criminal defense, domestic relations and family law, business and agricultural law, civil litigation, real estate matters, and mediation. He also serves as counsel for his hometown of St. Paul, Indiana, and has been involved in other various areas of municipal law.
